Description
The invention relates to a diurnal optical block arrangement disposed on an upper bay of the vehicle windshield. In particular, the optical blocks are placed near the side edges of the windshield and are more specifically used as daytime running lights. In the state of the art, we do not know a vehicle incorporating optical blocks or projectors in the windshield bay of a vehicle. US2010 / 0177524 describes a lighting device adapted to emit light through the windshield of a vehicle. The lighting device comprising at least one lighting module which is adapted to be temporarily mounted on the inside of a windshield with the aid of at least one fixing device. The lighting module comprises at least one reflector, a lamp and at least one seal between the lighting module and the windshield. The lighting module is powered by electrical energy, and switching between illumination and lamp extinction is regulated by at least one detector which is adapted to detect activated strong beams and to send wireless control to the lighting module. The lighting device comprises a function by means of which the light illumination can be adjusted, and by means of which the light can be completely or partially blocked. This lighting device is temporarily and precariously placed on the windshield inside the vehicle and integrates harmoniously into the cabin. Perceived quality is not obtained. The present invention seeks to overcome these disadvantages by providing an optical block arrangement that integrates harmoniously with the windshield bay of the vehicle and provides a remarkable perceived quality. For this purpose the invention proposes an arrangement of an optical block and a hubcap placed on an upper bay of 10 vehicle windshield comprising a light source for emitting a light to the outside, the hubcap covering the edge of the bumper. -brise and a roof front cross member, the hubcap comprising at least one opening for accommodating at least one optical block. Advantageously, the trim includes a border extending on the windshield, in an original manner and providing a good perceived quality. According to one variant, the optical unit comprises a flush-fitting crystal on the surface of the hubcap, allowing good integration. Optionally, the optical unit is housed in the hollow body formed by the liner of the cross member and the front cross member of the vehicle.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the optical unit is embedded in a cut made in the lining of the vehicle front cross member.
According to one variant, the edges of the cutout are folded towards the inside of the housing of the optical block. Advantageously, the edges of the cutout form a sleeve ensuring the maintenance of the optical block.
According to another variant, the optical unit comprises a housing whose edge is clipped into the opening of the hubcap.
Advantageously, the trim is fixed at the opening of the optical block on the windshield by an adhesive joint. According to a variant, the hubcap is fixed in its current part on the front lining of the roof by an adhesive joint on a lower contact line and by another glue joint on a top line of contact.
