Abstract

The installation has a generating unit (2) comprising a functional unit that is provided with a gas compression assembly (3), a storage unit (5), a heat exchanger and a gas turbine (8). The compression assembly is connected with storage parts (R) for storing pressurized gas. The storage unit releases the heat during compression of gas. The heat exchanger heats the gas from the storage unit. The gas turbine with a simple cycle or combined cycle is associated with an electrical energy generator (9) and supplied with electrical energy by the combustion air heated from the heat exchanger. An independent claim is also included for a method for storing energy in a form of isobaric compressed gas and electric power energy.
