Abstract

  The invention relates to the technical field of processing of digital data contained in data streams and in particular on RSS (Really Simple Syndication) and / or similar type of feeds. ATOM.

  RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a way to extract regularly updated content from a website. An RSS file is a simple text file containing the summary description of the content.

  The use, which has become increasingly popular in recent times, is for an end-user to use RSS to keep himself informed. The user must then have a specific tool, an "RSS reader" or "news aggregator".

  The latter can take the form of software installed on the PC, or a service accessible on the web. Without an appropriate reader, RSS files are unintelligible because they are not interpreted by traditional browsers.

  To date, there are several dozen RSS readers available, for all platforms, free or paid. To access the content of an RSS feed, the user must simply know the url, just paste in his reader.

  The latter decodes the RSS file, and makes the content appear intelligibly, exactly in the same way as a web browser that decodes Html files.

  In fact, when subscribing to an RSS feed, the user performs once and for all a simple operation of indicating a URL to his RSS reader. The latter will then periodically access the relevant content and display the changes if there are any.

  If the use of RSS is today limited to news from news organizations and weblogues, it seems certain that its use will expand.

  In another example, the Dutch government has recently introduced an RSS feed to inform citizens of the imminence of floods and other natural disasters.

  We can imagine that the weather, the stock market prices or any other regularly updated information takes advantage of the power of RSS.

  The sources of information RSS and / or ATOM are therefore present today on many sites and are decoded by the aggregators of information in software form or in a website. These aggregators make it possible to display, sort, automatically update and archive all the information for each feed thread.

  In fact, each new flow of feed to the aggregator will generate a new mass of information only classified under the heading of flow (stock, weather, news, social ...).

  These aggregators are convenient but they do not allow to sort a particular index simultaneously on all feeds loaded into the aggregator.

  As an example, the name of a particular stock market value could not be sorted simultaneously on all the stock flows loaded in an aggregator to bring out all its information from each of the flow feeds.

  Such sorting search present in the aggregators must therefore be carried out on a wire-by-wire basis in order to manually validate whether this or that thread is processing or the name of the particular value. The index search of aggregators can only be done by stream.

  Moreover, all of them have a unique index search. In fact, only one value can be searched at a time and therefore in a single thread of flow at a time. Multi-index or even simultaneous index searches on all streams are therefore not optimally apprehended.

  This finding is particularly disabling during use because the search for multiple values simultaneously requires a loss of time required to scan all flows, one by one and value by value.

  In addition, because the content of the loaded streams changes periodically, the multi-indexed search operation must be repeated every x minutes value by value and flow per stream.

  In fact, the very interest of the information aggregator is therefore lost in the context of a simultaneous search of one or more index values on several streams. And, of course, the interest of the aggregators is precisely to use several streams of information.

  Indeed, the alarm function is jointly linked to the absence of automatic and simultaneous index search in several streams.

  In fact, the generation of an automatic and periodic alarm is therefore not possible because the index searches of the aggregators are carried out manually by flow and by value.

  In conclusion, the aggregators as they are known today do not make it possible to carry out multi-indexed automatic searches in several simultaneous streams and do not allow to this same extent to generate an automatic and dedicated alarm by search index.

  The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a multi-indexed automatic search device in several RSS data streams simultaneously and, furthermore, proposes to enslave a dedicated and automatic alarm to each index value.

  This advantage is all the more obvious since it can make it possible, by the cadence and the synchronization of the clock (H), to periodically display the result of the search for an index word in real time, that is that is to say, updated at the same time as the database (Bn) by all of the stream threads (f1 to fn) processing this word. This advantage will be characterized later in this document.

  In fact, the implementation of a synchronized alarm can now be envisaged by the automation of the index search.

  For this purpose and according to FIG. 1, the device according to the invention is characterized in that the clock (H) synchronizes the alarm (al to an) to occur automatically during any index display (idl to idn) present in the multi indexed query (sort index 1 to sort index n) newly appeared since the last periodic command of the clock (H).
