Claims

1 - Device for packaging a cosmetic product comprising at least one container (1, 2) forming at least one compartment in which is disposed, directly or indirectly, said cosmetic product, the device comprising at least one authentication element ( 3, 6), said authentication element comprising at least a first chemical reagent capable, when it is brought into contact with a second chemical reagent present on a complementary authentication element (5., 8), to cause a detectable modification, especially visually, of the second reagent on the complementary authentication member.

2 - Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the second reagent is chromogenic so as to locally produce a visible color change of the authentication member after contact with the first reagent.

3 - Device according to claim 1 or 2 characterized in that the contacting of the authentication element with the complementary authentication device does not produce any visible change on the device. 4 - Device according to one of claims 1 to 3 characterized in that the first reagent is encapsulated.

- Device according to claim 4 characterized in that the authentication member 25 comprises a third chemical reagent capable of breaking the capsules enclosing the first reagent.

6 - Device according to one of claims 1 to 5 characterized in that the first reagent is at least partially printed on an outer surface portion of the device.

7 - Device according to one of claims 1 to 6 characterized in that the first reagent is integrated in the material forming all or part of the container comprising said authentication element.

8 - Device according to one of claims I to 7 characterized in that the complementary authentication member comprises an adhesive substance capable of reversibly adhering to the device.

9 - Device according to one of claims 1 to 8 characterized in that the authentication element is on a container constituting a secondary outer packaging (1) indirectly containing said cosmetic product.

10 - Device according to one of claims 1 to 8 characterized in that the authentication element is on a container (2) constituting a primary packaging directly containing said cosmetic product.

11 - Device according to one of claims 1 to 10 characterized in that the second reactant, in response, leads to the formation of an additional code analysable.

12 - Device according to one of claims I to 11 characterized in that the pair formed by the first reagent and the second reagent is a single chemical pair 20.

13 - Kit comprising separately: i) a packaging device according to any one of

Claims 1 to 12, and

ii) a complementary authentication device comprising a second chemical reagent which, when it is brought into contact with a first chemical reagent present on an authentication element (3, 6) of the device, is detectably modified, in particular visually.

14 - A method of authenticating a packaging device (1, 2) of a cosmetic product, the method comprising: i) contacting an authentication element of a device according to any one of Claims 1 to 12, a complementary authentication device comprising a second reagent which, when in contact with the -, t r._t .... _ ,.

complementary device comprising a second reagent which, when in contact with the first reagent present on the authentication element of the device, is detectably modified, in particular visually; and ii) detecting a possible modification of the reagent present on the complementary authentication member, a lack of modification of the second reagent indicating that the device is not authentic.

- Method according to claim 14 characterized in that the first reagent is encapsulated, the complementary authentication organ being applied to the authentication element 10 under conditions, including force, able to cause the rupture of the capsules containing the first reagent.

16 - A method according to claim 14 or 15 characterized in that one throws the additional authentication device when a change is detected.
