  Some women, particularly those who have given birth to children or women who are women, are subject to involuntary urinary leakage. Such stress-related leaks occur, for example, during coughing, laughing, stress, playing sports, or simply for no apparent reason.

  This represents for these women a major handicap for everyday life.

  Among the known techniques known to date, mention may be made of the surgical procedure which consists of placing a wire or a strip under the lower part of the urethra to support the latter, and thus to prevent this uncontrolled flow of urine.

  Another possible technique known hitherto to treat female urinary incontinence is to apply electrical impulses to the entrance of the vagina.

  But such a technique proves to be expensive, tedious as to its use, and does not necessarily have all the expected results.

  The invention therefore relates to an urinary incontinence device of substantially cylindrical, impermeable form, comprising cotton fibers coated with a composition. The device is characterized in that the fibers constituting the outer surface of the device are smooth over their entire length, and in that the composition covering part or all of the cotton fibers is a lubricating composition, waterproofing the device and having an effect therapeutic and / or moisturizing.

  The device according to the invention has the advantage of being of much simpler constitution than similar devices already existing, to be tight to any liquid from the body, to have a relatively low cost, and to possibly allow, in addition to the mechanical support, an easy care of the internal mucous membranes of the internal female tract because of the possible presence of compounds with therapeutic effect.

  Preferably, the composition with a therapeutic effect that may be present on the device comprises an agent chosen from estrogenic agents, antimicrobial agents, anti-inflammatory agents, antiviral agents and their mixture.

  The moisturizing composition may be chosen from moisturizing creams, but it is different from moisturizing gels. For a simpler removal, the device of the invention may comprise a withdrawal means (for example cordage type) which may optionally be attached to the skin. inside and / or outside the cotton fibers.   As can be seen in FIG. 1, the device according to the invention of general reference 1 is substantially cylindrical in shape.   The device of the invention is preferably placed in the vagina in the morning during the morning toilet, and removed permanently in the evening before bedtime. The advantage of such a device is that it allows to perform the mechanical maintenance of the daily urethra, with the use of a single device according to the invention per day since it is not contaminated during of the day.

  During the daily wearing of the device of the invention, the urinary cycle is absolutely undisturbed.

  The presence of the composition 4 on perfectly smooth outer fibers makes it possible to combine a perfect seal of the device with respect to urinary leakage and a perfect modeling of the device on the vaginal mucosa.

  For women still having their menstrual period, the device 1 of the invention can not be used during the few days of menstruation since it does not absorb any liquid. It can then be replaced by conventional protections known for this purpose.

  The device of the invention may furthermore comprise a cordelette-type removal means 5 allowing its easy removal from the body.
