Abstract

Method in which three levels of progressive security are combined on the same spatial zone of a document that can be inspected by increasingly sophisticated methods, e.g. the naked eye, a simple appliance such as a UV lamp and using a sophisticated scientific analysis device. The invention also relates to a corresponding device with a secure code masked by the third level layer (4). The device is designed such that attempted delamination of the layers will result in the destruction of the code.
