Abstract

The device combines two homogenizing mirrors, one, a toroidal mirror (3), behind the radiation source (2) and the other, a conical or pyramidal mirror (8), ahead of the radiation source. The center of the source lies in the same plane as the toroidal mirror so the image of the source appears as a ring on the conical mirror. An optical lens (12) may be placed at the front of the device.
