Abstract

A container (11) for holding and dispensing a product in finely-dispersed droplets has a dispensing head (12) made at least partly from a plastic material with a filler designed to reduce and/or modify the operating noise of the head. The filler is a mineral, preferably selected from the group comprising oxides, sulphides, hydroxides, sulphates and phosphates, e.g. magnetite, haematite or barium sulphate. The density of the filler is at least twice, and preferably three times, that of the plastic material used for the head and makes up more than 50 per cent of its weight. In addition, the filler is a sufficiently conducting material to reduce the risk of a build-up of static electricity.
