Abstract

The implant consists of a body (4) with one or more moving anchoring elements (26) extending from a contact face (6) when actuated by a sliding cam (630). The cam has a threaded surface to interact in the manner of a nut and bolt with an actuator which is accessible from outside the implant body. In a variant of the design the implant can have two cams interacting with two anchoring elements operated by a single actuator.
