Abstract

Two half beds (1,2) are easily joined together by gudgeon pin and slot at the ends of longitudinal members (5). Motor driven trolleys sliding along guides inside the members of each half bed raises and lowers legs (4) with castors (11,12) against struts (21). The trunk supporting surface (27) is raised and lowered by a separate electric motor and the leg support (29) is manually operated.
