Abstract

The conducting aid provides display screens (14) for the musicians, the screen showing only the part that is of concern to that musician, together with information on the interpretation sought. Each screen receive a synchronisation signal which advances the music score automatically. Where the part requires that the musician join in with other instruments, the score for the other instruments is shown on a partition on the screen. A cursor indicates the notes that are to be played. An image of the conductor may be displayed on the screen. The conductor has a central station where he can transmit messages to individual screens.
