Abstract

Novel textile cover (1) is for washing machines (2) or other household white goods, and comprises a fabric cut to fit the top cover of the unit, having e.g. edge elastic or draw strings. The cover is equipped as an ironing board cover, and is heat resistant. Preferably it has two parts, i.e. a cover (4) and separate, smaller ironing underlay (5) of felt, foam or similar, of appropriate thickness. The parts may be joined. The cover may be double, enveloping the underlay, and may have a lower foam coating. The cover is cotton, and may be metallised on the lower and/or upper sides.
