Abstract

The door fastening consists of one or more long bolts (19, 20) linked mechanically to a door handle follower (16) and a barrel lock (13). The mechanism incorporates a rotary stop (48) with a notch (50) to interact with the barrel lock bit (14) so that it can be turned to engage with a stop (54) on a transmission member (24) connected to the follower. When the long bolts and main door bolt (17) are engaged the rotation of the key in the lock fixes both the main bolt and long bolts in place. When the lock is unlocked a turn of the handle releases the main bolt and long bolts at the same time.
