Abstract

The fast food vending machine has a refrigerated storage area where pre-prepared dishes are stored, a heating installation, a mechanism to select dishes and a coin handling mechanism.The vending machine is constructed in several compartments (2,3,4,5,6). The dishes are taken from the racks by a mechanism (16-20, 21) having a vertical rail carrying a mobile dish handler (25-30), with the rail moving horizontally across the face of the storage racks. The dish is carried to a processing compartment (5) where it may be heated or garnished (10,11,12). Operation of the machine is controlled by a microprocessor unit responding to inputs from the coin handler (33) and the user selection keys (34).
