Abstract

The cabinet has an upper, or lower cupboard (5) which is moved outwards on a pair of horizontal rails (3). These are joined to a pair of vertical rails (4) by triangular corners (9). The cupboard can be lowered or raised along these rails. The vertical rails are joined to the outer ends of the horizontal rails or are joined to them at any point. A lever on the vertical rail locks the cupboard in any position. A spring or gas strut can be joined to the vertical rail to compensate the weight of the cupboard.
