Abstract

The invention relates to a device for catheterisation of the Fallopian tubes from underneath. It consists of: - 1 catheter 5, of small diameter, which tapers at its distal end 6. - 1 curved introduction catheter 2 fitted with a metal ring 4 at its distal end, thus allowing location and echographic inspection. - 1 metal mandrel 1 making it possible to straighten the curve of the introduction catheter. - 1 injection device (for example a syringe) 7. The catheters are made of teflon or any other suitable material which combines the qualities of leaktightness, flexibility and memory. The tapered catheter is fitted into the tube to be catheterised by sliding the catheter inside the introduction catheter whose curved end has previously been engaged in the mouth of the tube. This engagement is obtained in two successive operations. The first operation consists in bringing the distal end of the introduction catheter - straightened using the mandrel - to the mouth of the tube. The second operation consists in carrying out the engagement and extension in the mouth of the tube by withdrawing the mandrel, which allows the catheter to return to its initial curvature and to lodge in the tube. The contents of the tapered catheter - previously filled - will be able to be deposited by means of a syringe which will be connected to it.
