Abstract

The video cassette box comprises a hollow parallelepipedic body on which one side closes to form a cover, and a clasp (5,6,7) inside which a lock (13,14) is formed. The tabs (6,7) forming the two halves of the clasp are attached to the edge of the covers (1,2) by lines of reduced resistance, allowing them to be snapped off once the item has been paid for. Transverse ridges (11) are formed on the edge (4) of the box beside the clasp to provide a wedge grip which tends to hold the cover closed. A pin (13) passes through the clasp and enters a block (14) placed on the opposite side of the clasp. An electromagnetic anti-theft tag may be fitted under the locking pin.
