Abstract

The invention relates to a video recording which includes a succession of images relating, for the benefit of the partially sighted, to a printed text composed of a multiplicity of lines of characters. The succession of images is divided into a sequence of blocks, each block constituted by a plurality of images which exhibit an identical basic content, which translates into at most three lines of text. Each time the sequence includes a transition between two blocks, the previous line disappears while a later line appears. On reproduction, the characters are magnified in proportion to the ratio of the widths of the television receiver screen and of the printed text, while at most three lines of the text appear, two previous and subsequent lines framing the line being read, so that the risks of losing a line by the reader of minimised.
