Abstract

Device intended to apply heat locally onto various areas of the body using electric heating plates fig. 2 to 7, in the field of thermotherapy. This device makes it possible to heat very quickly, to benefit from constant heat which can be adjusted precisely and without risk of burns or intolerance by the skin. The effects are increased by combining with the thermotherapy a local activator product for eliminating waste and toxins. Each plate has a specific shape depending on the use for which it is intended. The device comprises a supply box Fig. 1 comprising several outputs, some 1 powered with a 19 to 24 volt low voltage and others 2 powered at 220 volts. The invention can be used in any medical and cosmetic applications of thermotherapy.

Description

 Device for heat therapy by electric hot plates with temperature control and local elimination activator.

 The present invention relates to medical and paramedical thermotherapy in the fields of rheumatology, physiotherapy, hypothermia and sweating. It is intended for the heat treatment of inflammation and rheumatic pain, muscle contractures, body warming after trauma or anesthesia, sweating to cause elimination or thinning. A power box is connected to the electric heating plates intended to be applied on the whole body in association with an activating elimination product.

 The techniques usually used to date in medical or paramedical thermotherapy use the application of mud, paraffin compresses or substitutes heated in a bain-marie in a pot. They require long handling and sometimes restrictive cleaning. They take a long time to heat up, cool immediately after application and therefore force them to be applied very hot on the patient with the risk of burns or skin intolerance.

 The device proposed according to the invention provides rapid heating, reduced handling, high precision in the metering of heat, constant heat, greater results by the local use of an elimination activator.

 The proposed device comprises one or more transformers for the low voltage outputs (1), on / off switches (3), safety fuses on each output (4).

Rheostats (5) make it possible to precisely measure the heat according to the sensitivity of the patient.

The use of a local elimination activator between the plaque and the epidermis increases the results obtained by evacuation of water, dissolved salts from the waste, toxins, lactic acid.

Each heating plate is fitted with a safety thermostat (7) to avoid any handling error, the temperature may not exceed 510 in contact with the epidermis. There is no longer any risk of burns or skin intolerance.

The plastic covered electric heating plates have a much longer lifespan than the compresses usually used, they prove to be more economical than wraps since they are indefinitely reusable.

 Each zone is therefore provided with an adjustment rheostat (8) and a safety thermostat (7) to avoid possible overheating.

 The process which is the subject of the invention proves to be very useful in hospitals (hypothermia patients after anesthesia or trauma), in rheumatological medicine (thermotherapy for osteoarthritis, arthralgia, chronic inflammations, muscular contractures, acute lumbago), in physiotherapy for application of care in thermotherapy, in paramedical practice (thinning and elimination by sweating methods.

 The heat is obtained by means of electrical resistors (6) supplied with low voltage 19 to 24 volts, or medium voltage 220 Volts.

These resistors are covered with plastic to isolate the epidermis.

 1) Device intended to locally apply heat to different areas of the body by means of electric heating plates in the field of thermotherapy with the possibility of a precise adjustment of the amount of heat without risk of burns or skin intolerance characterized by each plate has an adjustment rheostat and a safety thermostat to limit the local temperature.  2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the results are better by combining a local activating elimination product intended to activate the evacuation of waste, toxins, and lactic acid.
