Abstract

The device comprises a tank (1) receiving a cleaning agent in which a part (P) to be cleaned is immersed. The tank (1) is equipped with electroacoustic transducers (2) capable of generating powerful ultrasonic mechanical waves in the cleaning agent. Means (3) for generating periodic electric signals make it possible to supply the transducers (2). Means for regulating the frequency and the power of the ultrasonic wave (4, 5) are provided in order to adjust the abovementioned parameters. Furthermore, means (6) make it possible to focus the beam resulting from the ultrasonic wave emitted by the transducers (2). The focusing and/or the deflecting of the resulting beam towards the part to be cleaned permits an illumination of a selective treatment of this part. Application to the cleaning of mechanical parts in industrial part-treatment processes such as, for example, chromium plating.
