Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a reeduca ~.
-tion portatif permettant lautocontrôle de la correction
posturale active de l'ensemble du rachis.- portable operation allowing self-checking of the correction
active postural of the entire spine.
positions de travail etc...As it stands: re-education techniques, it appears that the main difficulty encountered in the treatment of vertebral static disorders, whether they are
orthopedic or rheumatologic, or the huge one. difficulty
for patients to become aware of the so-called position
corrected, and above all to maintain it permanently
in daily activities s standing, walking, t
working positions etc ...
There are currently under restraint devices.
mettant en jeu un dispositif avertisseur fonctionnant sur piles.ple or rigid quiine allow only a passive correction and
partial of these static disorders and which result in a
weakening by not using the same muscles which ensure the natural and physiological maintenance of the vertebral worm static, with in addition esthetic and comfort problems,
The present invention overcomes these disadvantages in per
putting the self-checking of the active postural correction of
the entire spine using light, space-saving equipment,
invisible under clothing, allowing all activities
which ensures the correction of all attitudes
lordosées, kyphosées and even scoliotic of the rachis, this horn
rection resolving ipso facto a considerable number of troubles
pathologies linked to a bad spinal attitude. Furthermore
maintaining the corrected position implies a p; rticipation
intense erector muscle groups of the spine, ensuring
thus a fast, precise, synthetic, global and functional bodybuilding of all these muscles, whose weakness precisely causes bad spinal attitudes with
all the troubles related to them
The present invention comprises a: sensitive device
to variations in the position of the spine, attached to the user's back by bands adhering to the skin
using a battery operated warning device.
According to the invention, the device sensitive to variations
position of the spine. attaching to the bottom of the
spine of the user by adherent bands
to the skin, consists of a housing containing a contactor
electric operated by an elastic element
secured to an inextensible cord adjustable in length
-guer, leaving the housing through an orifice fitted for this purpose,
and fixing by its free end at a height appropriate to the
back of the user by bands adhering to the skin. The
electrical contactor in the housing is connected by wires
conductors to a warning device powered by battery per -ceptible by the user.
The tension of the cord is adjusted on the user in the spine correction position, so that there is no contact in the housing.
A modification of the vertebral attitude of the user will cause a variation in the tension of the cord, which will activate the electrical contactor, thus triggering the operation of the warning device. This warning device will make the user aware of his poor posture which can be corrected immediately, the correction being confirmed by stopping the operation of the warning device.
According to one embodiment of the invention shown in Figure NO 1, the housing (i) can be made of injection molded plastic. The part of the housing (1) forming a cover is not shown in FIG. 1 to allow the vision of the content which is represented offset from the bottom of the housing (1). The dimensions of the housing (1) are of the order of 8 cm for the height and the width and 1 cm for the thickness, the angles being rounded.
Inside this box (1) is placed a thin non-conductive bakelite plate for example, serving as a support (2). On this support plate (2) is fixed a thin conductive metal plate (3) of tin for example, of appropriate length and thickness, connected by a conductor wire (4) to a small female socket (5) integral with the side-side edge of the housing (1) and facing
At the lower edge of the support plate (2) and facing the conductive plate (3) is fixed by stapling an elastic element (6) of the thin rubber ribbon type, of appropriate thickness and length, which crosses the conductive plate (3) and leaves the housing (1) pnr an opening (7) arranged for this purpose at the upper edge of the housing (1). On this elastic element (6) is fixed the second contact element (8), connected by a flexible electric wire (4) to a small female socket (5) secured to the side edge of the housing - (third) (i) . This second small metallic contact element. (8) is fixed on the elastic element (6) so that it does not come into contact with the conductive metallic plate (3) when the elastic element (6) is relaxed.
On the end of this elastic element (6), outside the case (i) is fixed a small ring (9) which allows the stowage of a thin, inextensible, long cord (10) and appropriate thickness.
A device allowing the adjustment (J1) of the length of the cord (10) is fixed at its lower end (e.g. a small plastic element pierced with two holes through which the cord (10) passes. - A small element flat plastic (12) of appropriate size is attached to the upper end of the cord (io) to facilitate adhesion to the skin of the user pr an adhesive strip.
According to this embodiment of the invention, the warning device consists of a small buzzer (13) operating in direct current and supplied by a small battery (14). One of the noise generator supply blades (13) is connected to one of the battery terminals (14). The other noise-supplying cable (13) as well as the other terminal of the battery (14) are connected by means of electric wires under them and small mule sockets (15) to the small fem sockets they (5) from the side edge of the housing (i).
According to fig. 2, If traction is carried out on the elastic element (6) by means of the cord (10) causing it to lengthen, the contact element (8) undergoes a translational movement which brings it into contact by sliding - ment with the conduction plate (3), thus closing the noise circuit (13) battery (14) and triggering the operation of the noise generator (13).
If the traction on the elastic element (6) ceases, the contact element (8) will undergo a reverse translation movement.
which will interrupt its contact with the conductive plate (3) making stop the operation of the buzzer (13).
Figures 3 and 4 show an example of use of this embodiment of the invention. The case (1) is fixed to the lower back of the user by bands adhering to the skin. The end of the cord (12) is fixed at the level of the 7th cervical vertebra. The retention of the cord (10) adjusted by means of the adjustment device (11) in the so-called back position corrected so that there is no establishment of contact in the case (1).
If the user exaggerates his dorsal kyphosis (round back) the retention printed by the cord (10) triggers the contact in the case (1) and the operation of the buzzer (13) (fig. 4). The user can then correct his position and the return to the initial corrected position is marked by the interruption of the audible signal.
According to a variant of the invention represented by FIG. 5, the thin metal conduetrlce plate (3) is fixed on the support plate (2) so as to leave a bare space of about 5 cm between the upper edge of the conductive plate (3) and the upper edge of the plate non-conductive support (2). The contact element (8) is fixed on the elastic element (6) in such a way that it is in contact with the conductive plate (3) when the elastic element (6) is relaxed. According to FIG. I6 the tensioning of the cord (10) fixed to the upper end of the elastic element (6) causes this elastic element (6) to stretch, therefore an upward displacement of the contact element (8), and thus provokes the break in contact between this contact element (8) and the conductive plate (3). The buzzer (13) does not work, since it is not supplied with current. If the tension of the cord (10) becomes loose, the elastic element (6) shrinks and the contact element (8) returns to its initial position in contact with the conductive plate (3) triggering the operation of the buzzer (13).
Figs. 7 and 8 show an example of use of this variant of the invention. The housing (i) is fixed to the lower back of the user by bands adhering to the skin. The cord (10) is fixed by its end (12) at the height of the 10th dorsal vertebra.
According to fig. 7, the tension of the cord (10) is adjusted by the adjusting device (11) in such a way that there is no contact in the housing (1) therefore, no operation of the buzzer (13). This setting is made on the user in the corrected position.
If the user accentuates his lumbar lordosis according to fig. 8, the cord (10) is released, causing the buzzer (13) to operate. The user informed of his bad posture can immediately correct it, the maintenance of this corrected position is objectified by the silence of the warning device
According to another variant of the invention represented by FIG. 9, the two previous embodiments are coupled in the same housing (1), allowing the control of the simultaneous and independent correction of attitudes in hyper lordosis and hypercyphosis , the tensioning of one of the cords (10) and / or the release of the other independently triggering the operation of two warning devices (13), for example a buzzer with a different tone,
According to another variant of the invention shown in FIG 10, the cord (10) is wound inside the housing (i) around a spiral spring (17) fixed to the support plate (2). The cord passes through the groove of a microccntact device (16) fixed on the support plate (2), the microswitch (16) being connected to the two female sockets (5) of the lateral edge of the border (1) and allowing the passage of the dying towards the warning device when the cord (io) presses on the throat of the microswitch device (16)
According to another variant, the microswitch (16) can establish the passage of current when the cord passing through the groove is released.
According to another variant of the invention, the warning device can consist of a device stimulating a perception of the user other than sound s, for example, optimum visual perception by a light spot, stimulation of skin perception by small intensity electrical discharge from the skin,
According to another variant of the invention shown in FIG. 11, the cords (10) are fixed to the bottom of the case. They follow a winding path between several elements containing springs (18) terminated by small plastic ends (19) having a groove at their end in contact with the cords; the springs are arranged alternately in opposite directions and held in place by guides (20) forming an integral part of the bottom of the housing; similar guides forming part of the cover of the box pocket the springs from leaving their housings a space provided between the guides of the bottom # and those of the cover allows the circulation of the cords when the springs are compressed by the tension of the cords. Opposite the end of two springs (18), two microswitches (21) and (22) are placed in housings provided for this purpose in the bottom of the housing, the pressure of the springs cutting the circuit in the microswitch (21) and establishing it in the microswitch (22). The bottom of the housing also provides housing for a battery (14), two small sounders (13) and the elements of electric circuit -connecting them. The compression of the springs by traction on the cords makes it possible to lengthen them and stop the buzzer connected to the microswitch (22) and the operation of the buzzer connected to the microswitch (21). The neck -vercle of the box has small studs which fit into small studs at the bottom of the box ensuring the closing thereof. A small hatch in the cover allows access from the outside to the battery. The entire housing can be produced by injection molding of plastic material.
The present invention is particularly intended for physiotherapist physiotherapists and their patients.
