Abstract

The cabinet is formed by stacking juxtaposed partitions each containing an opening within its frame whose shape pref. matches the exterior. The top and base of the cabinet and the partitions are pref. of wood and arranged along the vertical axis of symmetry. The deflector directing sound towards an aperture near the top of the cabinet is a partition of the same size having a smaller opening off-centre. The electroacoustic transducer is attached to a baffle which is another partition of the same size containing a central circular hole. The deflector and baffle divide the interior vol. of the cabinet into three compartments. The aperture is formed of a stack of partitions each having one side of its frame removed.

Description

The present invention relates to an acoustic enclosure.

Acoustic speakers of the current technique are generally in the form of parallelepiped and are constituted by the assembly of at least six rectangular panels parallel two by two.

One of the disadvantages of this embodiment lies in the fact that the manufacturer from these same panels can not realize speakers of different dimensions.

It is also known that the acoustic qualities of an enclosure depend closely on the rigidity and the thickness of its walls.

To reinforce the rigidity, it is customary to have in the enclosure brackets at the connection between the panels or spacers linking two parallel panels.

As can be understood, such arrangements make the production of loudspeakers more cumbersome and increase their cost of production.

As is also understood, the manufacturer will be able to produce from these same panels that acoustic speakers identical by their external dimensions-but different by the thickness of their walls.

To achieve this result, it will therefore use panels of different thicknesses, which is not compatible with a mass production.

The object of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks previously mentioned by implementing a new acoustic enclosure having good rigidity without, however, requiring the traditional reinforcement means, which simplifies its manufacture and can be made in different dimensions from the same elements. , which facilitates its mass production, and development studies by variation of the internal volume.

Another object of the present invention is to allow from the same elements the realization of loudspeakers whose thickness of the walls can vary from one to the other.

For this purpose, the acoustic enclosure according to the present invention is constituted by a housing enclosing at least one electro-acoustic transducer and the least one deflector of the sounds towards an outlet port (4) is essentially characterized in that the said housing (1) is formed by joining together two end walls of juxtaposed walls perforated according to a bezel delimiting a frame defining the internal volume of the enclosure by joining the frames thus defined and that said walls are transverse to the same axis and arranged each following the contour of a section of the enclosure transverse to said axis.

As represented, the acoustic enclosure according to the invention is constituted by a housing 81) enclosing at least one electro-acoustic transducer (2) and at least one internal vent (3) of sounds towards an orifice (4) due exit at the top.

The case (1) of the acoustic speaker is in the form of a parallelepiped but it goes without saying that it can be in the form of any other volume.

 It is so. in general, the acoustic loudspeaker housing may be in the form of a polyhedron and / or in the form of a volume limited by at least one curved surface.

The housing (1) is formed by preferably joining between two end wall walls juxtaposed walls (7) and perforated according to a bezel (8) delimiting a frame (9) preferably of contour identical to the outer contour of said wall and defining the internal volume (s) of the lint by enclosing the frames thus defined.

The wall (15) delimits with the lower wall (6) the volume (12).

It is readily conceivable that this position can be varied in order to adapt to each particular case of embodiment of the speakers.

The internal vent (3) is constituted by a partially perforated wall following a window (16) for passing sounds to the outlet orifice (4) of the acoustic chamber.

According to the preferred embodiment, the internal vent (3) is disposed between the upper end wall (5) and the wall (15) parallel thereto or transversely to the axis AA 'and delimits with the said wall (15) the volume (13) and with the upper wall (5) the volume (14).

This deflector is also constituted by a flat wall of external dimensions equal to those of the walls (7) so as to be arranged along the contour of a horizontal section of the housing of ltenceinteinte.

The window (16) preferably follows the outline of a rectangle and extends parallel to the rear wall of the enclosure along its entire inside width.

Preferably, the lateral and rear edges of the window are respectively in the extension of the inner face of the side and rear flanks of the enclosure to facilitate the return of sounds to the opening (4) opening the volume (14).

It is obvious that the shape and the position of the window are given here only as an indication.

The orifice (4) extends from the vent (3) to the upper wall (5).

The outlet orifice (4) is formed by at least one wall (7) whose frame (9) has a cutout formed on a portion of its perimeter.

In the light of the foregoing, those skilled in the art can easily construct loudspeakers of different shapes and features.

 Thus it will be possible to realize acoustic speakers in the form of a polyhedron or a limited volume by curved surfaces or by curved surfaces and by flat surfaces.
