Abstract
The monitoring system measures the heating installation's variables using detectors that release alarm signals when a variable is above or below a given limit. Code words describing the alarm signals are transmitted via a telephone line to a centrallised remote station where they are displayed. Amongst the variables monitored are the temp. of the water circulating in the installation (measured w.r.t the set wanted temp.) and flue gas composition (indicating efficiency of combustion and therefore amount of oxygen required).
