Abstract
The facility comprises, for each of the three phases (T, S, R) of a three-phase electrical circuit, three gas-insulated switching units (50, 51, 52). Each of these switching units comprises a circuit cut-out (16), circuit breakers (18) and two current transformers (17) linked together electrically and mechanically and enclosed in an earthed metal casing which contains an insulating gas capable of extinguishing the arc. All the switching units (50, 51, 52) are arranged in parallel. Each group of three switching unit (50, 51, 52) joins electrically, on the one hand, two electrical power transmission lines (40, 41) and, on the other hand, the two corresponding phases (T, S, or R) of two main busbars (42, 43). This facility makes it possible to stabilise the transportation of electrical power from main busbars (42, 43) to the transmission lines (40, 41). It offers, over the known facilities of the same kind, the advantage of occupying a greatly reduced area.
