Abstract

The portable electric or electronic guide has a thickness of 27 mm and is easily carried by one person. The guide includes a panel of information which may cover a wide variety of topics. On the panel are a number of points of interest, and these may be illuminated by small light bulgs of LED's immediately underneath it. The lights are operated by a number of switches. The guide is constructed so that if information changes, the appropriate changes may be made to the wiring to update the information. It may be used to give the addresses of chemists, or the addresses of branches of a particular organisation on a town plan, or a guide to possible walks. An alternative panel may shown an outline of a ski resort indicating the length and difficulty of the various slopes.
