Abstract

The framework of a convertible vehicle has a hollow section beam supporting conversion attachments to change the vehicle to car, motorised sledge, seaplane or plane. The propulsion unit is fixed to the top of the beam by a pivoting spindle for variable angle of attack and a cambered spindle acting as a suspension is fixed to the bottom of the beam. The beam also acts as a fuel tank, the fall in fuel level has no great effect on the centre of gravity or on the dynamic force lever arms.
