Abstract

The compsn. contains a base gum free from alkaline earth metal, a water-soluble fluorine salt, xylitol and sorbitol. A partic. tablet contains NaF (0.00025g), xylitol (0.867g), sorbitol (0.833g) and an alkaline earth free gum to a total tablet wt. of 2.5g. Sorbitol is used instead of L-sorbase without any change in properties of the compsn. Sorbitol is not fermented by bacterial agents and their enzymes.
