Abstract

The apparatus for local stimulation uses an electromagnetic beam interrupted according to one of a series of geometrical ratio frequencies. It has an oscillator of relatively high frequency, whose output is fed to a multiple-output frequency divider equipped with a frequency selector. The selected frequency is applied to a laser diode via amplifiers, the diode being accommodated in a mobile probe. The probe has an indicator for the frequency selected, and can also incorporate the selector. The indicators can be illuminated segments displaying signal letters and numbers.
