Abstract

Ce procédé permet de produire des bases en fonte ayant des surfaces planes très lisses et une plus longue durée de service (plus de cent coulées). Il utilise un moule formé de panneaux thermiquement isolants 14 et 18 dans un châssis de moulage 16 placé sur une plaque métallique 12. L'invention est applicable en particulier à la fabrication de lingotières pour la coulée de l'acier.This process produces cast iron bases with very smooth flat surfaces and a longer service life (over 100 castings). It uses a mold formed of thermally insulating panels 14 and 18 in a molding frame 16 placed on a metal plate 12. The invention is applicable in particular to the manufacture of molds for casting steel.
