Abstract

The adjusting mechanism is for tubular prostheses such as artificial legs. It has a set of wedge pieces giving angular adjustment, together with sliding plates for adjustment in a straight lines, and a central locking screw. The central screw can be fixed to a coupling lug for rapid attachment to the tubular system, to which it is anchored by taper-ended screws in the latter, bearing against a cone face on it. The central locking screw can also be used to secure the foot in place.
