Abstract

The circuit is intended for use with electrical or electronic relays, and provides a block against a repeated signal, i.e. the circuit prevents the relay from being re-energised after operation by very short or very long signal pulses. The circuit is esp. intended for use where step by step instructions are used from such relays to production lines etc. The relay energising coil is connected in series with the collector-emitter path of a transistor (T). The blocking action is provided by the base bias network (R1R2, C) which includes a capacitor (C) maintaining the collector current during its required energised state but having a time constant preventing the transistor from going into conduction until the capacitor has had time to recharge.
