Abstract

The clamps are fixed at either end of a frame which has a vertical central web as a stiffener. The clamp is fixed to the central web by means of a bolt (23), holding a bracket (11). The bent material (34) is held in horizontal jaws (31) and (32) tightened by the bolt (33). Each jaw has a pair of vertical bolts, set at the extremities of the jaws. Each of the clamps may be replaced by an alternative shaped clamp which may make an angle with the support rib. The central rib is provided with a number of holes in the web to provide fixing points along the length of the web.
