Abstract

Biluminescent tennis ball comprises one felt piece covering the ball treated in yellow-green which is luminescent in daylight, while the other felt piece is treated in fiery red or bright red which is also luminescent in daylight. The two shades have luminosities which appear to reinforce each other. These two shades may be replaced by two others, or by several which are applied to different bands on the surface of the ball, e.g. on spherical belts or zones. Max. contrast is thus obtd., and the ball has a much more attractive appearance than a conventional ball and can be seen more readily when rotating on itself during play.
