Abstract

In the telephone line security system, special signals are transmitted along the line to be guarded and these signals are monitored by a detection circuit which can indicate functioning defaults in the line. A pair of transmitters send the special signals down the line from each end thereof. The transmitters outputs are characteristic of the state of charge or discharge of calling capacitors. An alarm signal is raised upon suppression or partial suppression of the signal.
