Abstract
The d.c./d.c.h.v. step-up converter, for charging a battery, can also handle input voltages of several Kv. The converter consists of serveral circuits (F) coupled in series across the input terminals (KE) and each inductively coupled to a transformer secondary. Each secondary is coupled via a rectifier and smoothing circuit to shared output terminals (KA). Each circuit consists of a transistor (T1) in series with the primary of that circuit's transformer (M1) and controlled from a shared control unit (R). A capacitor (C11) shunts the primary and the transistor. The control circuit triggers the transistors according to the output voltage.
