Abstract

The unit is used to de-odourise a lavatory and operates automatically when the pan seat is lowered. This energises an ozone lamp (1) which is fixed to a backplate (2) on the wall. A microswitch (5) is mounted on the backplate, in series with the lamp, the supply being provided through a suitable socket (4). A pneumatic actuator (6) in the form of an extending bellows, is located near the microswitch arm (5a). An air bulb is fixed to the lavatory pan or seat and, when the latter is lowered, the bulb is compressed. This extends the bellows to close the microswitch and energise the lamp.
