Abstract

Radio frequency receiver for motor-cyclises, built into the rider's crash helmet, is built into a box structure having flexible walls mounted at the back of the helmet by means of four sprung straps, hooking into suitable sockets in the outer skin of the helmet such that in the case of accidents the whole unit is freed. The layout is such as to avoid fouling the visor or protective goggles strap. Earphones are mounted on adjustable length arms rooted at the receiver box. A throat microphone is transformer coupled via a jack to the receiver amplifier and may have an extension to allow communication between rider and pillion.
