Abstract

The blade is thick and tapers towards the wiping face. At the face remote from the wiping one it is moulded to have two grooves for retention in the arm in the usual way. Through the blade is a longitudinal bore (1). This is pierced at intervals by channels (2) to feed water towards the glass. These channels open into the base (3) of a channel in the wiping face which has two tapered wiping tips (4). The longitudinal bore is blocked at each end by a plug (9) and water is introduced to its centre by a flexible pipe, housed in the wiper arm. Water is fed by conventional methods.
