Abstract

Prior designs endeavoured to use for positioning and seating of elements in motion either permanent or electromagnets. In both cases the required outputs and consequently the resulting physical sizes were too large. The present arrangement is fitted with an auxiliary magnetic field operating in the way of a controlled servo system. The electromagnets emit controlled forces in the direction of the body in motion when it moves out from a neutral position. The deviation of the body from the basic position can be picked up by a photoelectric system emitting a control signal to rectify the deviation.
