Abstract

An electromagnetically operated lubricating pump has a tubular piston housing passing through the annular soft iron shroud (13) which houses the excitation spool, this shroud having holes (14, 141, 15, 16) for discharge of moisture, and a suction block (1) screws onto one end of the housing, while a collar (5) screws onto the discharge end of the housing. Between the block (1) and the collar (5) is a needle ended piston and a cylinder, the latter having a nozzle portion which extends from the collar. The block (1) has a conical end which projects inwards towards the piston. The piston has grooves along its outside to allow excess lubricant to circulate around it. The cylinder has an inwardly extending sleeve portion which surround concentrically the needle portion on the end of the piston.
