The title cpds. are of formula (I):- where n = 3 or 5; R = H, halogen or CH3; Ru v alkyl (1-4C) or lower aralkyl; R2 = H or lower alkyl ; and A - = anion of a mineal or organic acid, except for the cpd. where n = 5, R = R2 = H, R1 = CH3 and A = Cl. They may be prepd. by reaction of a phenyl cycloalkyl carboxylic halide with a tropanol salt.
