Abstract

An electromagnetic cylinder lock, incorporating a lock housing 1 and, inside this, a rotatable lock cylinder 2, and locking elements which normally prevent rotation of the lock cylinder 2 relative to the lock housing 1 and which, by means of a key 7 to the lock, is displaceable into a releasing position allowing rotation of the lock cylinder 2, the key 7 of the lock additionally comprising elements 11 for transmitting an electronic code and the lock correspondingly comprising elements 13, 14 for receiving and recognizing the code of the key, so that, when the right code appears, the said elements 13, 14 are arranged to allow mechanical opening of the lock by means of the key 7. The lock incorporates at least one locking disc 9, 9', 9", the key opening 9b, 9b', 9b" of which is configured such that a rotation of the key does not directly mechanically actuate the locking disc 9, 9', 9". The lock also incorporates coupling elements for coupling the said at least one locking disc 9, 9', 9" to the rotation motion of the key. The lock is further provided with electrical function devices 17, 17', 17", which can be activated by means of the electronic code of the key and which, in the activated state, are arranged to control the said coupling elements so that the said at least one locking disc 9, 9', 9" is rotated with the key into a position required to open the lock mechanism. <IMAGE>
