Abstract

It is advantageous to decentralise the functions for the services of an intelligent network logically among separate service programs in the SCP and also physically among several SCP. One problem with the decentralisation of functions is the centralised control of the call establishment, wherein the call establishment can be controlled by only one service program at a time. The invention involves a method for decentralisation of services among several service programs, SLP, in an intelligent network. Between a connection point SSP and the service program SLP which issues instructions to it there is hooked up a controlling connection. The method according to the invention is characterised in that the connection control is divided into control classes and at least one control class is reserved for the service program SLP which controls the connection point SSP so that the respective control class is reserved for only one service program at a time, and the call establishment is controlled from the service program within the context of the control authority of the at least one control class reserved for this. <IMAGE>
