Abstract

The invention concerns a breathing mask which comprises a mask part 1 made of a flexible material and covering the user's mouth and nose, and a heat-exchanger part 2 fixed in the mask part 1 and made of a heat-retaining material, and through which the inhaled and exhaled air is arranged to flow in order to collect heat and moisture from the exhaled air and transfer this to the inhaled air. To produce an easy-to-use mask, the heat-exchanger part 2 has been made as a flexible, shapeable unit which can essentially retain its shape, so that the entire unit made up of the heat-exchanger part 2 and mask part 1 can be made to fit the user's facial shape by means of shaping of the heat-exchanger part 2. <IMAGE>
