Abstract

A process for the production of new 6, 11-dihydrodibenzo [be] tiepin-11-one compounds of general formula ** formula ** wherein R'' is hydrogen or methyl, independently including the (dl), (d) isomers, and (l) where R'' is methyl, and R is an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt residue, characterized in that process by reacting an acid of formula ** formula ** where R'' is as defined above, with a reactive alcohol or a pharmaceutically acceptable base to obtain the corresponding pharmaceutically acceptable ester or salt of formula (I) and optionally converting the salt thus obtained to another salt (Machine-translation by Google Translate, not legally binding)
