Abstract

Procedimiento para el cálculo de un índice de degeneración del cartílago.#Procedimiento que permite obtener un parámetro cuantitativo denominado “Índice de Degeneración del Cartílago” para conocer, a partir de imágenes de resonancia magnética, el estado de degeneración global del cartílago articular mediante un análisis de la neovascularización asociada a procesos inflamatorios y degenerativos. Para ello, se correlacionan distintos parámetros estadísticos con las variables clínicas de la artrosis obteniéndose unos parámetros farmacocinéticos que ayudan a determinar la irrigación vascular del cartílago. Se tiene en cuenta tanto el nivel de alteración como el espesor del cartílago dando así una idea más exacta de su estado de degeneración, otorgando un mayor peso a aquellas regiones que presentan un mayor adelgazamiento relativo.#Encuentra especial aplicación en el ámbito de la medicina, específicamente para el diagnóstico temprano y el seguimiento a lo largo del tiempo de la degeneración del cartílago en los procesos inflamatorios y artrósicos.Procedure for calculating an index of cartilage degeneration. # Procedure that allows obtaining a quantitative parameter called "Cartilage Degeneration Index" to know, from magnetic resonance images, the state of global degeneration of articular cartilage by an analysis of neovascularization associated with inflammatory and degenerative processes.
