Abstract

The invention relates to a bidirectional wire communication device consisting of a remote terminal and a central unit which are connected by a cable used for telephone communication or an optical fiber. The configuration of the remote terminal includes a telephony circuit and a modem (2) provided with a data input and output (2') associated with a display (3) and connected to a monitor or the like (3'), which are powered by a power source (8). The device is operated by a control circuit (5) and controlled by a conventional microprocessor (6) fitted with a memory (7).
