THE BASE STATIONS OF THE CANDIDATE CELLS ARE INTERROGATED AND YOU COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. THE CANDIDATE BASE STATION THAT NEEDS LESS TRANSMISSION ENERGY FROM THE MOBILE SUBSCRIBER IS CAREFULLY SUPERVISED. WHEN THE MOBILE SUBSCRIBER UNIT CAN SUCCESSFULLY COMMUNICATE WITH A LOWER TRANSMISSION POWER THAN CURRENTLY REQUIRED BY THE PRESENT BASE STATION, THE MOBILE SUBSCRIBER UNIT IS TRANSFERRED TO THE CANDIDATE BASE STATION TRANSCEIVER.
