Abstract

This is a process which, by avoiding the selective collection of waste and by means of an ecological system and without combustion, makes it possible to utilize a minimum of 90% of urban solid waste. By means of a series of successive operations of grinding, sterilizing, electromagnetic separation of metals and glass on the one hand and organic material, plastics and paper on the other, separation of the metal from the glass, drying of lines of products, and separation of plastic and of paper and organic material, it is possible to obtain unitary products, such as fuels, feedstuffs, utilizable plastics, ferric and non-ferric metals and sand or glass, as well as a minimum quantity of scrap material.
