Abstract

Self-adhesive label 1 for labelling cylindrical or prismatic, preferably medical containers, with at least one separable section 2a, 2b which is intended to reproduce in another place the information contained on the self-adhesive label 1. It is envisaged that the self- adhesive label has, on the end opposite the separable section, at least one region 3 with an adhesive-repellent smooth layer, and that, from the outer edge 4 of the separable section 2a, 2b to the outer edge 5 of the region 3 having the smooth layer, it has a dimension which is greater than once and smaller than twice the circumference of the container to be labelled. In the labelling of a container, the separable section 2a, 2b lies on the region 3 having the smooth layer and can easily be removed therefrom. The self-adhesive label is easy to manufacture, problem-free to work and is particularly suitable for containers with small radius of curvature. <IMAGE>
